Steven T. Puccio, D.O. is board-certified, fellowship trained orthopedic spine surgeon who specializes in the comprehensive care of spinal disorder, from the cervical spine to the sacrum, including thoracic. This includes degenerative conditions, as well as spinal trauma and instability. Known for providing compassionate care, Dr. Puccio believes strongly in listening to his patients; correlating symptoms with objective studies and helping them formulate an individualized plan. His practice employs the latest technologies and techniques to reduce pain, shorten recovery times and to avoid the common complications of more traditional spinal surgeries. Dr. Puccio works closely with our interventional spine specialists to optimize diagnostic accuracy and treatment outcomes. He is trained in minimally invasive techniques such as microdiscectomy and endoscopic decompression, facet fusions, lateral lumbar interbody fusion and disc replacement, as well as traditional open spine surgery. In addition to spine surgery, Dr. Puccio specializes in knees, total joints and fracture care.

Dr. Puccio was awarded his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After medical school he completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the Peninsula Hospital Center. He then completed his fellowship at Orthopedic Spine Surgery at New England Baptist Hospital. Dr. Puccio finds satisfaction in guiding patients through surgery toward their fullest potential recovery.
