HBOT delivers 100% oxygen at increased atmospheric pressure, up to 15 to 20 times what you get breathing normally.
That extra oxygen dissolves directly into your plasma and reaches tissues that a normal bloodstream can’t fully oxygenate: swollen post-surgical joints, inflamed tendons, injured brain tissue, aging cells that have started to skip a beat.
It’s a mechanism your body is already wired for. HBOT just turns up the dial, under the supervision of a board-certified specialistsc team, in a private suite designed for people who came here to actually get better.

HBOT supports the cellular processes that reduce post-op inflammation, promote angiogenesis (the growth of new blood vessels into the surgical site), and help soft tissue rebuild. Your surgeon did their job. HBOT helps your body do the rest.

Lakewood Ranch runs on golf, tennis, pickleball, and morning miles. Tendonitis, ligament strain, and muscle fatigue don’t respect your calendar. HBOT is used across the NFL, NBA, and MLB to accelerate soft tissue repair and shorten recovery windows. Same clinical used by major league sports teams protocol, delivered here.

You didn’t move here to slow down. HBOT supports what active adults 50+ actually want: less systemic inflammation, better joint mobility, sharper cognitive clarity, and faster recovery from the golf round, the tennis match, the grandkid weekend. It’s not anti-aging marketing. It’s a clinical protocol used by physicians for decades, delivered under real medical supervision.

Post-concussion syndrome, TBI, and cognitive fatigue can linger long past the point where scans stop showing anything. HBOT is being studied and used to support microvascular repair and neuroplasticity in patients whose brain injury is technically healed but whose life still feels off. Under our specialists, this is care with a plan, not a Hail Mary.

There are three places you can get hyperbaric oxygen therapy in Lakewood Ranch and Orlando, and they are not the same thing.
Hospital wound centers typically provide HBOT for specific medical indications under established insurance and hospital protocols. Treatment eligibility and course of care are generally determined within those parameters.
Wellness studios may offer HBOT as a stand-alone service or membership alongside modalities such as red light therapy, cryotherapy, or cold plunge. These programs are generally structured around wellness access rather than physician-directed clinical treatment.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is delivered within an individualized medical protocol supervised by board-certified specialists. Certified technicians administer each session in a controlled clinical environment equipped with advanced hyperbaric systems and monitoring technology. Patient response is continuously evaluated to guide precise adjustments and optimize outcomes throughout the treatm

Step 1
You start with a consultation, not a punch card. A board-certified UOC specialist reviews your history, your goals, and your imaging or surgical notes if applicable, and builds an HBOT protocol tailored to your case. If HBOT isn’t the right tool for what you’re dealing with, we’ll say so.
Step 2
Sessions run 60 to 90 minutes in a private suite. Wear something you’d wear to a yoga class. You’ll relax, listen to music or a podcast, and breathe 100% oxygen at increased atmospheric pressure. Most patients read, nap, or catch up on shows.
Step 3
Most protocols run 10 to 40 sessions depending on your case. Post-surgical packages tend to run shorter and more concentrated. Longevity and athletic protocols are longer and more spaced out. Every package is billed transparently upfront. No monthly surprise.
Step 4
You’ll check in with your specialist during the protocol so we can track how your body is responding and adjust if needed. The goal isn’t to sell you sessions. It’s to get you back to what you came here for.

Your HBOT protocol is delivered by certified hyperbaric technicians who monitor every aspect of each session and is clinically supervised by the same board-certified specialists who treat surgical and non-surgical patients across our facilities every day. You will know the physicians overseeing your care, meet them directly, and remain under coordinated specialist medical oversight throughout your treatment course.

HBOT is FDA-cleared for 14 specific indications, including decompression sickness, severe carbon monoxide poisoning, and certain diabetic wounds. Many applications we offer (recovery, longevity, sports performance, post-concussion support) fall under integrative/off-label use, delivered as adjunctive therapy under physician supervision. Your specialist will walk you through the clinical evidence in your consultation.
UOC is a cash-pay practice. We don’t work with commercial insurance, Medicare, or Florida PIP for any of our services, HBOT included. This is intentional. It lets us build protocols around your case instead of around what an insurance company will approve, and it means every price is transparent and final.
HSA and FSA funds are eligible where your plan allows, and financing is available through CareCredit. If your case is covered under a hospital wound care indication (like a diabetic ulcer or radiation injury), that care usually happens at a hospital wound center rather than here, and we’ll point you there.
It depends on your case. Post-surgical protocols typically run 10 to 20 sessions.
Athletic recovery protocols often run 10 to 30 sessions timed around competition.
Longevity and concussion protocols commonly run 30 to 40 sessions.
Your physician builds the protocol during your consultation and adjusts as your body responds.
Most patients describe it as similar to being on an airplane during descent: a mild pressure change in the ears for the first few minutes, then completely comfortable.
You breathe normally. Bring a book, your headphones, or take a nap. Sessions run 60 to 90 minutes.
HBOT has decades of clinical use and a well-documented safety profile.
The most common side effect is temporary ear pressure. Serious complications are rare and every session is monitored by trained clinical staff under physician oversight.
Your specialist reviews contraindications with you before your first session.
HBOT during pregnancy is only recommended in very specific medical circumstances.
If you’re pregnant or trying to conceive, please tell your specialist during your consultation. We’ll walk you through the current guidance and decide together.
We evaluate pediatric HBOT cases individually. This typically applies to sports injury recovery in high school athletes and concussion protocols. Contact us to discuss your specific case.
Wellness studios generally deliver HBOT as a wellness membership without individualized medical oversight.
UOC delivers HBOT as a clinical service line inside an orthopedic practice, with protocols designed and supervised by board-certified specialists, and integrated with the rest of your recovery care. Same technology. Different standard of care.
HSA/FSA eligibility depends on your plan and how HBOT is documented for your case. In many cases, HBOT prescribed as part of a physician-supervised recovery protocol is eligible.
Bring your HSA/FSA card and we’ll help you check.
This depends on your surgeon’s clearance and the specific procedure. Some patients begin as early as 3 to 7 days post-op. Others wait until sutures are out. Coordinate with your surgeon and bring their clearance to your consultation.
